In this introductory piece, meet this year’s final editors Casper and Rachel.
Casper Rudolph – Final editor
Well, hello there! I’m Casper Rudolph, final editor. Besides editing, I write fantasy tales set in a weird, psychedelic universe, depicting gun-toting desperadoes squaring off against mad witches and inter-dimensional demons. When I begin to feel overwhelmed by overmany plot-lines and character arcs, I like to return to my short stories, some of which have been published in Writer’s Block Magazine last year. Inspiration for these stories comes from many things: fiction by other authors; mundane, every-day stuff; lucid dreams; visual art; and even music that moves me.
Speaking of which, I play guitar and sing in a loud ‘n’ groovy rock band called The Spoofs. I also write the occasional acoustic song, mostly for fun. Lastly, I just want to say that the best modern rock band in all the world is Thrice (no contest!), and the main writer responsible for driving me completely insane is Grant Morrison. Stephen King may have had some wicked influence, too.
I’m excited to see all the submissions this year, and publish some amazing magazines for all to enjoy. Let’s rock!
Rachel Aisa-Bonoko – Final editor
Hi! I’m Rachel and I’m a final editor of Writer’s Block. I’m currently in my fourth (and final!) year of the English Bachelor. Some of my favourite things to do are reading, visiting museums and listening to music—basically the cliché things that many people like to do. I love animals; I’m more of a dog person than a cat person, sorry!
